We are happy to see so many FPE Falcons at school today - 97.3% attendance is awesome!


Miss Hagl and Mr. Crawford's classes worked together this week to practice Habit 2, Begin With the End In Mind, by planning how to build the tallest, free-standing, shoe tower possible. There were some great collaborative conversations and lots of laughter too. #LeaderinMe




Students have recently started library stations during book checkout. These centers give students the opportunity to be creative and work together.

Fifth graders have had a fun-filled first day of camp! Students this week will be participating in outdoor art lessons, tie dying, ropes courses, archery, geocaching, dissecting owl pellets, and lots of team building activities!





Forest Park students set a goal to reach 96% - 100% attendance for the week of September 25. If they meet the goal, students will get to splash Dr. Conway and Mrs. Mills at recess on Friday, September 30.


4th graders are busy scientists and mathematicians! Mrs. Day's students have been conducted a study examining birds' nests. Ms. Ferracane's students are learning about fractions and are communicating their evidence and reasoning about whether or not fractions are equivalent.





5th grade students are currently learning about plants in science class. This week, Ms. Madonia's class conducted an experiment to understand what plants need to grow and create matter.




Wow! We had an amazing turnout to the first ever JLM and FPE Back to School BBQ. Thank you to the O'Fallon Fire Protection District for hosting, and serving our families over 700 hot dogs! It was a beautiful, fun-filled night for our community!





Our transportation department works hard everyday to bring our students to and from school safely. This week, bus drivers are coming to FPE for safety presentations and to practice bus evacuations.


Ms. Wolk's 5th Grade Class was working hard on math centers this week practicing their multiplication fluency!

This year the students in Ms. Hagl's class designed a class crest. This was made after research on colors and animals and lots of conversations and compromises. Their class motto this year is "Honor all. Build Success Together."



Third graders have been busy at FPE! Students are learning about plants and planting seeds in science, they are building their reading stamina, and they are developing their class mission statements.
