During the last quarter of Tech Ed, students built CO2 cars and then raced them in a bracket style competition. A CO2 car is a minitaure aerodynamic wooden racecar propelled by a compressed carbon dioxide cartridge. This was an exercise in understanding the importance of aerodynamics, friction and mass as they all impact performance. The races highlighted Newton's third law of motion; for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
